We’re pleased to share that one of our apprentices in Payroll, Anie, has recently qualified! We asked her some questions about her qualification.
Why did you choose to go into Payroll?
I chose to go into payroll because it was something I was always curious about. Every time I received my payslip at previous jobs, I wanted to know how the Tax and NI was calculated and why it had been done that way. I was also curious to know how much is involved in working within a payroll environment especially in a bureau, dealing with a range of clients daily.
What’s your favourite thing about Payroll?
My favourite thing about working in payroll is that you deal with so many different scenarios, queries and clients every day that no day is ever the same.
What are you looking forward to about being qualified?
Being qualified means that I will now be able to further my knowledge and experience by taking on additional payrolls as I will have more time due to the completion of my apprenticeship. It will be nice to have extra free time not having to revise and take exams but I definitely want to keep learning more advanced levels of payroll.
What do you like about OR?
I like the fact that there is so much variety in each day and the team is great!
