Inheritance Tax

Planning for the Inevitable.

Inheritance Tax is a tax on the property, money and possessions held at the date of death of an individual.

There are a number of exemptions available before IHT is due at the rate of 40%.  Where an individual estate leaves at least 10% of their net estate to charity, the rate is reduced to 36%. With effective lifetime and will planning, you may be able to pass on a portion of the estate, tax free.

We understand that each situation is unique and we pride ourselves on developing a comprehensive Inheritance Tax strategy that meets your needs. Inheritance tax is an area that is under constant review, so it is crucial to ensure that your inheritance tax plan is kept up-to-date and remains efficient and compliant.

We will happily liaise with any partners including solicitors and independent financial advisors to make sure that every eventuality is accounted for.
