Corporate Social Responsibility

At Ormerod Rutter, we are dedicated to ensuring that our business is run in a way that has our people, our community, and the environment at the forefront of what we do

We strive to make sure that both our actions as a business, and the actions of our team as individuals have a positive impact on our local community, the society in which we live and the environment around us.

Our company values ‘Big Firm Capability, Family Firm Personality’ are at the heart of our decision-making processes.

We are capable of taking steps to make a difference to those individuals and organisations around us.

Ormerod Rutter Within The Community

As well as working hard for our clients within our accounting and business advisory services we also take pride in working hard for our local community in Worcestershire.

We recognise the importance of supporting those around us. We dedicate our time to support others and engage our team in many fundraising activities throughout the year.

There are many charities in our local community who depend on the funding and help from others to survive.

Throughout the year we like to select a few different organisations to support instead of picking just the one.

We have held many competitive ‘Great Office Bake Offs’, take part in 10k runs, fancy dress days and even pyjama days!

All this helps us to raise money for charities such as St.Richards Hospice, Men in Sheds, Age Uk, Breast Cancer Haven, Children In Need and many more!

Our Local Sponsorships

We are proud to support local sports clubs, schools, charities and individuals through sponsorships.

Sustainability and the environment

At Ormerod Rutter, we’re committed to reducing our environmental impact through a range of sustainable practices.

Our OneClick client portal eliminates the need for physical paperwork by allowing clients to securely and efficiently submit their returns online via an encrypted platform. This helps reduce paper usage and associated carbon emissions.

We’ve adopted paperless processes across the business wherever possible, including in accounts preparation and audits, to further support our sustainability goals. All office printers are set to double-sided printing by default, and confidential paper waste is securely shredded and recycled.

Across all our office sites, we have established comprehensive recycling schemes, and we ensure the proper recycling of printer toner cartridges and electrical items in line with WEEE regulations.

When sourcing office supplies or corporate gifts, we actively choose eco-friendly options. We’ve also equipped our team with reusable water bottles, tote bags, and travel mugs to reduce single-use plastics.

To encourage more sustainable commuting, we promote walking, car sharing, and the use of public transport among our employees.

Finally, during the recent refurbishments of our Droitwich, Bromsgrove, and Birmingham offices, we replaced all lighting with low-energy LED alternatives, significantly lowering our energy consumption.

Sustainability is an ongoing priority for us, and we’re proud to be taking active steps toward a greener future.
